FICTITIOUS BUSINESS NAME/DBA

Do you need a Fictitious Business Name, also known as a DBA?  If you regularly transact business, under a fictitious name, in the County of Santa Barbara you must file for a FBN within 40 days of first transacting business.

A Fictitious Business Name is one that DOES NOT include the surname of the individual owner, and EACH of the partners or the nature of the business is not clearly evident by the name.
